Custom Streched Rimo Fountain Pen - in Midnight Racer Acrylic.

About this Pen and Material:
This was a special order pen, with the material and the specifications supplied by the customer. It's modeled after my RIMO Pocket Pen, but as you can see has a much longer length. It also has a smaller diameter than the standard Rimo. Another difference is since the pen is so long, it doesn't need the posting threads on the end of the barrel. The capping threads are a slighyly different style as well. While they're still forward mounted as on the standard Rimo, these threads are coarse single start (rather then fine multi-start).

This material is an Acrylic Acetate called "Midnight Racer" (it's also sold under the name "Fire Storm"). The material has a black & gray pearl base with yellow & orange threads. The combination of colors is striking. As you can see in the very top photo's, the pattern has a different look as you rotate around the pen.
