A
bout the Name:
This pen is named after the 39th highest mountain peak on earth, and one of the highest peaks of the Hispar Muztagh in Pakistan. As one of the 'Seven-thousanders', their has only been two successful climbs made to the top Mount Trivor, with the first ascent made in 1960 by a British-American team.

About the Trivor:
The main feature of this pen is the wide metal cap band. The band has a unique "knife-cut pattern that runs vertically around the perimeter. The pen also features a visible clip ring and two smaller accent bands: one behind the front-section, the other on the end of the barrel (with a threaded blind-cap). The Trivor is postable and is fitted with a #6 nib which can be ordered in either a 2-tone or polished steel finish and tip sizes in fine, medium or broad. Clip finishes available are 24k gold and Rhodium. Inking systems available for this pen are cartridge/converter (c/c), eye-dropper (ED), and button filler.

Trivor Dimensions:
The Trivor is slightly under 6" long capped, and about 5 1/4" uncapped. The cap is about .69" (15mm) at the base and tapers to 9/16" at the clip. The cap band is .63" (16mm) and has fine vertical "knife" cuts around the perimeter. The barrel is about 9/16" behind the threads and tapers to about .47" (12mm) at the joint of the blind cap. The standard style has what best could be described as a half-barrel or flat topped dome shaped final. But it can also be ordered in a "flat-top" version, with the finial and barrel squared off and flattened instead of domed.

Trivor Options and Upgrades:
Since the Trivor already a threaded blind cap, the inking system can easily be upgraded to a button-filler. You could also upgrade it to a piston-filler. The steel nib could be upgraded to 14 or 18K gold. The cap posting shown on some pens is also an upgrade, so if you prefer to post your cap, please let me know so this can be added to your pen.

I also offer a variety of hand-made Pen Props and Pen Buttons. You can order a Pen Prop in a material to match your pen, or any one of the wooden styles made in a variety of stained or dyed colors. The Pen Buttons are available for any of the clipless pens.

About this Material:
This material is an Italian Acrylic called "Key West Sunrise". I'm not fortunate enough to know myself, but I guess it's so named because the color reminded someone of a sunrise along Key West. The pattern is called CRUSH because it's made up of small "crushed" pieces of acrylic. It's made by first making a batch of solid colored acrylic, then it's crushed up before putting back into a mold. Once the crushed pieces are placed in the mold, it's filled again with another solid color-- sometimes the same color, other times a contrasting color. Once it cures, you have a solid piece of material with the crushed pattern. It creates a very vibrant color, so it's a popular pattern. You'll see the crushed acrylic used on several other pens in different colors (such as Cranberry Red, Orange Crush, and Sapphire Blue just to name a few).
